Dungeon Crawler Carl Receives Series Order on Peacock by Seth MacFarlane

Peacock has officially greenlit the TV series adaptation of the popular book series “Dungeon Crawler Carl,” which is based on the New York Times bestselling books. The show will be produced by Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door in collaboration with Universal Global Television.

Author Matt Dinniman took to Instagram to share the exciting news, expressing his happiness about the straight-to-series order. Alongside Chris Yost and Seth MacFarlane’s team at Fuzzy Door, they are all eager to dive into the production process. Fans can expect more details in the coming weeks, and Dinniman and Yost will be hosting a panel at SDCC.

The series is set in a post-alien-invasion world where survivors are thrust into a cruel intergalactic game show, fighting for their lives. To make things more challenging, the protagonist, Coast Guard vet Carl, is paired with his ex-girlfriend’s pampered talking cat, Princess Donut the Queen Anne Chonk. Together, they navigate a treacherous world filled with monsters, aliens, and other survivors, all for the entertainment of viewers. Survival may be optional, but entertainment is guaranteed.

Executive producers of the show include Seth MacFarlane, Erica Huggins, and Rachel Hargreaves-Heald from Fuzzy Door, with Matt Dinniman and Chris Yost serving as co-executive producers.
