VisionQuest Coming to Disney+ in October

WandaVision, the very first TV show in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney+, streamed all the way back in 2021. Its first spin-off, Agatha All Along, arrived in 2024. And now its long-promised second spin-off, VisionQuest, finally has a spot on the calendar: it’s set to premiere on October 14. This exciting news was shared during Disney’s upfronts presentation, and Variety has hinted that the series was previously teased for a fall 2026 release.

Paul Bettany will be reprising his role as the “Synthezoid” and former Avenger he portrayed in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, as well as voicing Tony Stark’s AI program, JARVIS, in multiple films starting with Iron Man in 2008. While the plot of VisionQuest has not been revealed yet, it’s the perfect time to dive into AI-themed stories, especially with James Spader also joining the cast to reprise his role as Ultron.

In WandaVision, we had a glimpse of the character’s surreal domestic life alongside Wanda Maximoff, also known as the Scarlet Witch, who found temporary bliss in a suburban setting. While it seems unlikely that Wanda or Agatha Harkness will make an appearance in VisionQuest, Marvel shows have seen stranger twists before. The rest of the cast includes Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, Ruaridh Mollica, Lauren Morais, and Diane Morgan.

Terry Matalas, known for his work on Star Trek: Picard, will serve as the showrunner, and VisionQuest is set to run for eight episodes.
