Disney+ sets release date for ‘VisionQuest’
Great news for Marvel fans! The highly anticipated spinoff of “WandaVision,” called “VisionQuest,” has finally received its release date. The show is set to debut on Disney+ on October 14.
Initially hinted to be coming in the fall of 2026, Disney recently announced the exact release date during the Upfronts event, where they also shared other exciting programming news.
Starring Paul Bettany, who plays the android Vision, and former Avenger, the series was first announced to be in development in October 2022, about a year and a half after the conclusion of “WandaVision,” the hit Disney+ miniseries. In “WandaVision,” Bettany starred alongside Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch.
“VisionQuest” is said to be the “final installment” in the trilogy that began with “WandaVision” and continued with the 2024 spinoff “Agatha All Along,” where Kathryn Hahn reprised her role as the witch Agatha Harkness.
In addition to Paul Bettany’s return, the series also features James Spader reprising his role as Ultron from “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The cast includes Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, James D’Arcy, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, and Ruaridh Mollica. Lauren Morais and Diane Morgan’s casting in the series was also exclusively reported by Variety.
“VisionQuest” is an eight-episode series set in the MCU’s Phase Six. It was filmed at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. in 2025, under the direction of showrunner Terry Matalas, known for his work on “Star Trek: Picard.” So mark your calendars for October 14 and get ready to embark on a new Marvel adventure on Disney+!
