Disney+ and CJ ENM’s TVING Partner to Launch Streaming Service in Korea
Disney+ and CJ ENM’s TVING have just announced an exciting new partnership that marks the first collaboration between a global streaming service and a local OTT platform in Korea. This move strengthens Disney’s ties with CJ ENM, a major Korean studio, and follows their recent deal in Japan.
As part of this new agreement, Disney+ will offer bundled subscription plans that combine Disney+, TVING, and Wavve at discounted rates for Korean consumers. These bundles, available starting Monday, offer up to a 37% discount compared to individual subscriptions, making it a significant moment in the OTT industry. This collaboration brings together Disney’s well-known IP with the top Korean content from TVING, Wavve, and CJ ENM.
This partnership is an extension of Disney’s recent content deal in Japan, where Disney+ became the exclusive home for many TVING and CJ ENM titles. Now, with this new Korea-based bundle, Disney+ continues to expand its reach as a distributor of Korean storytelling while also becoming a local platform partner for Korean audiences.
