Disney+ and CJ ENM launch bundle deal in Korea

Disney+ has teamed up with CJ ENM’s Korean streaming platform Tving to offer bundled subscription packages that bring together global and local content at discounted rates. This collaboration between international and local streaming services in South Korea is a first of its kind.

Korean consumers can now choose between two bundle options: a Disney+, Tving, and Wavve package at KRW21,500 ($14.60) per month, providing up to 37% savings compared to individual subscriptions, and a Disney+-Tving bundle at KRW18,000 ($12.30) per month, offering 23% savings against the combined cost of Disney+ Standard and Tving Standard.

These bundled plans grant access to Disney’s extensive range of content, including Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic, Hulu, alongside Disney+ Korean originals, popular Korean dramas, variety shows, and entertainment from Tving, Wavve, and CJ ENM.

As part of this partnership, Disney+ Japan has also introduced up to 60 Korean titles, including hits like “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (Goblin)” and “Reply 1988” from CJ ENM. Additionally, the Tving original series “Dear X” premiered exclusively on Disney+ Japan on Nov. 6, signaling Disney’s expansion into the Japanese market.

Tony Zameczkowski, senior VP and general manager of direct-to-consumer for the Asia Pacific region at Walt Disney Company, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating that it not only broadens their reach but also enhances the content ecosystem while delivering greater value to consumers.
