Love Island Contestant Vasana Montgomery Removed Over N-Word VideoinnerText Surfaces

“Love Island” contestant Vasana Montgomery has been removed from the show’s upcoming season after videos surfaced of her using a racial slur. The 26-year-old contestant from Beaverton, Oregon, was caught allegedly singing the N-word in a song lyric.

According to TMZ, the videos were privately owned and only came to light after Montgomery had been announced as part of the Season 8 cast. This unfortunate incident marks the second time a “Love Island” contestant has been removed for using offensive language, following the abrupt departure of Yulissa Escobar last year.

Peacock, the network behind “Love Island,” has yet to comment on Montgomery’s removal from the show. The show has faced criticism in the past for casting contestants who have used derogatory language, as was the case with Escobar and another former contestant, Cierra Ortega, who used an anti-Asian slur.

In response to these incidents, the show’s official Instagram account recently urged fans to be kind and positive towards the contestants online. The message emphasized that “Love Island” is a space for fun and love, not negativity.

While Montgomery will no longer be part of the upcoming season, fans can look forward to watching other islanders, including Aniya Harvey, Beatriz Hatz, Melanie Moreno, Bryce Dettloff, and others, as they enter the villa in search of love. Season 8 of “Love Island USA” is set to premiere on Tuesday on Peacock. Let’s show support for all contestants and make this season full of kindness and positivity!
