New Racial-Slur Scandal Rocks ‘Love Island USA’ Villa Before Season Premiere

Sorry, folks, it seems we have quite the shakeup in the Love Island villa just before the big season premiere. Vasana Montgomery, a beauty technician from Beaverton, Oregon, won’t be joining the rest of the Islanders when the show kicks off this Tuesday. Apparently, some videos of her using a racial slur surfaced on social media, and that’s a big no-no.

This isn’t the first time Love Island USA has faced controversy like this. Remember Cierra Ortega from last season? She left early due to backlash over some questionable social media posts. And even before that, Yulissa Escobar was out after just one episode for using the same racial slur.

The videos that led to Montgomery’s departure show her using the offensive language while rapping along to a song and playing a game at an arcade. TMZ and Variety reported on this, and we’ve confirmed the news ourselves. Despite the uproar, Montgomery hasn’t commented on the situation yet.

According to a source close to the show, these videos were originally posted on a private account and only went public after the cast announcement. Peacock, the network behind Love Island USA, wasn’t able to catch these videos during their casting process because they were hidden from public view.

In Montgomery’s introduction video, she painted herself as “the full package.” She mentioned owning a business, living alone, and having a furry friend. It’s a shame things turned out this way, but it’s clear that Love Island USA is taking a stand against hateful language, no matter who it comes from.
