New Reality Cooking Show with 100 Cooks Premieres Sunday: 5 DMV Area Cooks Featured

Nupur Mehta, a physician and proud dad living in Northwest Washington DC, is one of five DMV area cooks featured on the new reality cooking show, 100 Cooks. The show, premiering on June 7th at 9pm ET/PT on Food Network and streaming the next day on HBO Max, will challenge 100 elite home cooks in a high-stakes culinary competition.

Hosted by Terry Crews, 100 Cooks will put the contestants through a series of intense challenges, from blind taste tests to 30-minute cooking battles, all to determine the ultimate home cook. In a unique twist, winners of each challenge will have the opportunity to either pocket the cash prize or add it to the final grand prize, which can grow as high as $250,000.

Nupur is joined by other talented DMV cooks like Maxine Chikumbo, Amy Decker, Michele Monroe, and Tarun Sinha, each bringing their own personal style and culinary background to the competition. From global flavors to Southern African influences, these home cooks are ready to showcase their skills and take on the challenge.
