Tom Hardy leaves “MobLand” due to on-set tensions during Season 2 filming

Tom Hardy, known for his role as fixer Harry Da Souza in Paramount+’s crime drama MobLand, may not be returning for a potential third season, according to reports. Season 2 has already wrapped filming and is scheduled for a fall release, but behind-the-scenes tensions have cast doubt on Hardy’s future with the show.

Sources suggest that Hardy faced issues on set with executive producer and writer Jez Butterworth, as well as with other members of the production team. Reports mention concerns about his punctuality and strained relationships with some cast members. While some outlets claim he was not invited back after Season 2, others say his status with the series is still up in the air.

MobLand, created by Ronan Bennett and executive produced by Guy Ritchie, has been a hit since its debut, ranking as Paramount+’s second-biggest original series launch after Landman. The show, which also stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, follows the Harrigan crime family as they navigate internal conflicts and external threats.

With Season 2 set to continue the story of warring mob factions, the ensemble cast includes Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, and more. While Paramount+ has not officially announced plans for a third season or addressed Hardy’s role moving forward, fans will have to wait and see what unfolds for MobLand.
