Tom Hardy Reconciles with ‘MobLand’ Producers
Tom Hardy is back on board for the potential Season 3 of MobLand after reportedly clashing with producers during the filming of Season 2. According to reports, Hardy had some disagreements with executive producer Jez Butterworth and MobLand creator Ronan Barrett, leading to some tension on set. However, it seems like things have been smoothed over now, as Hardy, Butterworth, and executive producer David Glasser of 101 Studios recently met in London to work things out. Guy Ritchie, who has directed several episodes of the series, also played a role in resolving the conflict.
While Paramount+ has not officially renewed the series for a third season, the production had been aiming for a fall start for filming on a new season. With Hardy now back in the mix, that start date seems more achievable. In MobLand, Hardy portrays Harry Da Souza, a fixer for a London-based crime family led by Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, played by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. The show also features a talented ensemble cast including Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Jasmine Jobson, and more.
Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios are behind the production, with Butterworth, Barrett, and Glasser serving as executive producers alongside Ritchie, Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, and others. Deadline initially reported the news about Hardy’s return to MobLand, and fans can look forward to seeing him back on screen in the upcoming season.
