Disney+ Signs New Content Partnership with RAI in Italy

Disney+ has struck another content deal, this time with RAI in Italy, following a previous agreement with RTVE in Spain last week. This marks the second time in a week that a major European state broadcaster has agreed to showcase their content on a streaming platform immediately after its linear broadcast.

The latest agreement with RAI in Italy includes popular shows like “Belve,” hosted by Francesca Fagnani, and the game show “The Floor – Ne rimarrà solo uno,” hosted by Paola Perego and Gabriele Vagnato. These shows will be available for Disney+ customers in Italy to stream the day after they air on RAI 2.

In addition to these current shows, Disney+ will also feature a collection of RAI titles from the recent past, including “Braccialetti rossi,” “Mina Settembre,” “L’amica geniale,” “Un passo dal cielo,” “Màkari,” and the docu-reality series “Il Collegio,” which will be available on Disney+ in Italy soon. This collaboration highlights the growing trend of major broadcasters partnering with streaming services to provide viewers with easy access to their favorite shows.
