Disney+ Signs Deal with Italian Broadcaster RAI for Exclusive Content

Disney+ has just made a deal with Italian state broadcaster RAI, adding popular RAI programs to its streaming lineup. This agreement is part of a larger trend of Disney+ signing similar deals with prominent European public broadcasters like Atresmedia, RTVE, ITV, SIC, ARD, and ZDF.

As part of this collaboration, Disney+ subscribers will soon have access to RAI’s unscripted talk show “Belve,” hosted by Francesca Fagnani, and the game show “The Floor – Ne rimarrà solo uno,” hosted by Paola Perego and Gabriele Vagnato. These shows will be available for streaming the day after they air on RAI 2.

In addition to these new additions, Disney+ is expanding its local content library by including a selection of RAI’s top scripted shows from recent years. This includes popular series like “Braccialetti rossi,” “Mina Settembre,” “My Brilliant Friend,” “Un passo dal cielo,” and “Màkari.” Fans can also look forward to the docu-reality series “Il Collegio,” where teenagers experience a sixties-style boarding school without cellphones or social media. These shows will be featured in a dedicated collection on Disney+, alongside other fan-favorite RAI titles like “Don Matteo,” “I Bastardi Di Pizzofalcone,” “Un Medico In Famiglia,” and “Doc – Nelle Tue Mani.”
