New Jedi Master Revealed in Star Wars

A new Jedi Master has been revealed in the latest trailer for a 2026 Star Wars project on Disney+. The trailer gave fans a great look at the franchise’s next Jedi Master. Many big Jedi characters are still waiting for their spotlight, but Star Wars is not slowing down. The franchise continues to introduce major Force-wielding fighters into action, with one Jedi in particular making waves ahead of his small-screen debut.

In a new official trailer for Lucasfilm’s Maul — Shadow Lord, a character named Eeko-Dio Daki was unveiled as the new Jedi Master. Eeko-Dio Daki, voiced by Dennis Haysbert, is featured prominently in the trailer interacting with other characters and showcasing his fighting skills and mastery of the Force. The trailer teases his important role in the Maul series, which focuses on Darth Maul’s return for his first official solo project.

While not much is known about Eeko-Dio Daki’s backstory, the trailer hints at his character dynamics and his stance against joining forces with Darth Maul. Eeko-Dio Daki will be one of several Jedi in the show set to battle Darth Maul as he seeks to return to his dark ways and demonstrate his lightsaber prowess in combat.

Eeko-Dio Daki is set to be one of the featured Jedis in various Star Wars projects releasing in 2026. The fan-favorite Grogu, formerly known as Baby Yoda, is also making his big screen debut in “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” set to premiere in theaters on May 22. Other familiar characters like Ahsoka Tano, Ezra Bridger, and Sabine Wren are returning to action in 2026 as well, each continuing their own journey in the Star Wars universe.

Furthermore, a spin-off series from “Star Wars: Visions,” titled “Visions Presents – The Ninth Jedi,” is expected to showcase the continuing adventures of different characters within the Star Wars galaxy. Fans can expect more Jedi or former Jedi to make appearances in new projects throughout the year, adding more excitement to the ever-expanding Star Wars narrative.
