Stephen Graham signs first-look deal with Disney+

Stephen Graham and Hannah Walters’ production company, Matriarch Productions, has partnered with Disney+ for an exclusive two-year deal. This collaboration will focus on creating original scripted and unscripted series that highlight captivating British stories for audiences worldwide. The recent launch of the second season of the period drama “A Thousand Blows,” a project that Matriarch co-produced, preceded this exciting agreement.

Established in 2020 by Graham and Walters, Matriarch Productions aims to amplify underrepresented voices and stories in the UK. They are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion both in front of and behind the camera. Their portfolio includes notable works like the feature film “Boiling Point,” its BBC1 series spin-off, and the popular series “Adolescence,” produced in collaboration with Warp Films for Netflix.
