Disney+ partners with CJ ENM to bring Tving Originals to Japan

Disney+ has just announced an exciting partnership with Cj Enm, a major player in South Korea’s entertainment scene. This collaboration will bring Tving, Cj Enm’s popular streaming platform, to Japanese audiences through Disney+.

Starting on November 6th, Disney+ Japan will exclusively offer up to 60 of Tving’s top original titles and popular dramas from Cj Enm. Fans can look forward to classics like Guardian: The Lonely and Great God and Reply 1988. The launch kicks off with the debut of Dear X, a series starring Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, and Kim Do-hoon, which will be available for streaming in both Korea and Japan simultaneously.

This move marks Tving’s first foray into the Japanese market, opening up new opportunities for both companies. By joining forces, Disney+ and Cj Enm aim to expand their presence in Japan, a key hub in the streaming world. They hope to make a splash in the highly competitive Asian-Pacific streaming market, challenging the likes of Netflix.

As fans eagerly await the arrival of these new Tving originals on Disney+, this collaboration promises to bring some of South Korea’s most beloved content to a wider audience in Japan. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting partnership!
