Disney+ Japan Announces Major Content Deal with CJ ENM’s Tving
Disney+ has struck a game-changing deal with CJ ENM to bring Tving’s top-tier content to Japan for the first time. This multi-year partnership will see up to 60 of Tving’s top originals and CJ ENM dramas debut on the platform, starting from November 5. Fans can look forward to beloved titles like “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” and “Reply 1988.”
One exciting highlight is the exclusive streaming of “Dear X,” featuring Kim Yoo-jung, Kim Young-dae, and Kim Do-hoon. This highly anticipated series will make its debut on Disney+ Japan on November 6, premiering in sync with its release in Korea.
To showcase this influx of Korean programming, Disney+ Japan will present “Tving Highlights” as a tailored section on its homepage. This will sit alongside the platform’s flagship shows and original content. Subscribers will also be able to explore the “Tving Collection,” a specially curated selection of emotionally engaging and genre-defining series from TVING.
Tamotsu Hiiro, Managing Director of The Walt Disney Company (Japan) Ltd., shared, “As we mark five years of Disney+ in Japan, we are dedicated to broadening our content range to cater to the diverse tastes of our audience. This partnership with CJ ENM and Tving solidifies our commitment to offering a wide variety of entertainment options.”
