MTV Cancels Ridiculousness After 46 Seasons
MTV has decided to end the long-running series “Ridiculousness” after 46 seasons, with no new episodes to be produced beyond 2026. Hosted by Rob Dyrdek since 2011, the show featured viral videos from the internet. However, fans can still enjoy previous seasons on MTV and select seasons on Paramount+.
Chanel West Coast, who co-hosted the show alongside Rob, Sterling “Steelo” Brim, and Lauren “Lolo” Wood, announced her departure in March 2023 to pursue independent projects. Despite the end of an era, MTV is focused on bringing in new content with fresh formats and creative voices to its programming lineup.
In other TV news, several series have been renewed or canceled for upcoming seasons. Disney’s “King of the Hill” will continue on Hulu for seasons 16 and 17, while Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” is set to return for a sixth season in 2026, with the show filming in London for the first time. Plus, the Apple TV+ drama “The Morning Show” starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon will be back for season five.
On the other hand, the Food Network is bidding farewell to “The Kitchen,” a culinary talk show that has been on the air for 12 years and 40 seasons. The popular show hosted by Sunny Anderson, Jeff Mauro, Geoffrey Zakarian, Katie Lee, and Alex Guarnaschelli will come to an end in December 2025.
As we say goodbye to some TV favorites, there are new and exciting shows to look forward to in the coming seasons, promising fresh entertainment for viewers everywhere.
