X-Men ’97 No Longer Exclusive to Disney+

Great news for X-Men ’97 fans – you no longer need a Disney+ subscription to keep up with the latest Marvel Animation series! That’s right, the Marvel Entertainment YouTube channel has uploaded the first two episodes of X-Men ’97, titled “To Me, My X-Men” and “Mutant Liberation Begins,” for your streaming pleasure.

In Episode 1, we catch up with the X-Men a year after Professor X narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. They’re still fighting for human/mutant coexistence, but things take a surprising turn when Professor X leaves the team to Magneto in his will. Episode 2 dives deeper into the aftermath, with Magneto trying to earn the team’s trust and facing trial for his past actions. Meanwhile, Storm faces a dangerous attack, Wolverine rushes to help Jean Grey, and a mysterious woman shows up with a shocking revelation.

While this move marks Marvel’s first time uploading full episodes of a Disney+ series to YouTube, it’s not the first time they’ve used the platform to share exclusive content. From the entire first season of “I Am Groot” to a deep dive into the making of “WandaVision,” Marvel has found creative ways to reach fans beyond Disney+.

Looking ahead to Season 2 of X-Men ’97, get ready for more time-traveling adventures as the team faces off against Apocalypse. The new season kicks off on Wednesday, July 1, exclusively on Disney+. And for those wondering if Marvel will continue diversifying its streaming platforms, keep an eye out for potential releases on Hulu and YouTube. Marvel has plenty of tricks up its sleeve to make sure fans everywhere can join in on the superhero excitement!
