Paramount+ UFC Freedom 250 Sets Record with 17 Million Viewers in U.S. and Latin America

Paramount+ made a pretty exciting announcement on June 18th! They shared that a whopping 17 million people in the U.S. and Latin America tuned in to watch “UFC Freedom 250”. Can you believe it? This special mixed-martial arts fight card coincided with President Trump’s 80th birthday, making it the biggest exclusive live event in Paramount+ history. An impressive 8.2 million viewers, from both markets, caught the action. Woah!

But guess what? The UFC will spill the beans on viewer numbers outside the U.S. and Latin America next week. And here’s something cool – it was the first time in UFC history that every fight on the card ended with a “Knockout” or “Technical Knockout” (KO or TKO). The event even saw an underdog win, with Justin Gaethje defeating Ilia Topuria to claim the undisputed lightweight title.

What’s truly amazing is that UFC Freedom 250 was exclusive to Paramount+ in the U.S. and Latin America – no pay-per-view charges required! Subscribers have been loving UFC content on Paramount+ this year, with 16 million households tuning in for over 180 million hours of action. That’s more than 20 times the average pay-per-view event viewership over the last two years.

In fact, the opening numbered event, UFC 324 back in January, set a record too! 5 million viewers and 7 million households in the U.S. and Latin America caught that big fight. UFC Freedom 250 marks the sixth event in a seven-year deal between UFC and Paramount+, promising more exciting events to come. The deal includes 13 Numbered Events and 30 Fight Nights in the U.S. and Latin America for 2026.

P.S. Paramount+ is gearing up to live-stream another thrilling event – UFC 329: McGregor vs. Holloway 2 on July 11. The rematch between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway is one you won’t want to miss!
