Brazilian President Launches Free Streamer Tela Brasil

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva recently introduced Tela Brasil (Screen Brazil), a new free streaming service that showcases a wide array of Brazilian productions. With an initial catalog of 555 titles, Tela Brasil offers a mix of feature films, medium-length films, short films, television movies, and series produced in Brazil from 1910 to 2025.

To access Tela Brasil, all you need is an account on Gov.br, the official digital platform of the Brazilian federal government. President Lula emphasized the importance of Tela Brasil as a platform for connecting Brazilians with their own culture, highlighting the rich diversity of programming available on the service.

At the official launch ceremony held during Rio2C, a prominent event in the film and TV industry, President Lula was joined by various film industry representatives and government officials, including Brazil’s Minister of Culture Margareth Menezes and Rio de Janeiro Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere. Additionally, an agreement between the Ministry of Culture and the Brazilian Communication Company (EBC) was signed, adding over 150 titles to Tela Brasil’s expanding catalog.
