Prime Video Orders Three Animated Series from GenAI Creators’ Fund
Prime Video has exciting news for animated series fans! They have greenlit three new shows as part of the GenAI Creators’ Fund, a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Amazon Web Services. These projects were announced at AI on the Lot at Culver Studios in LA and are set to debut on Prime Video in the future.
First up is ‘Cupcake & Friends,’ a series from BuzzFeed Studios. Join a relatable cupcake and her pals as they navigate the twists and turns of a sleepover filled with laughs and surprises. Next, ‘Love, Diana Music Hunters,’ from pocket.watch, follows K-pop musicians on a space adventure to save an alien world through music. Finally, ‘Punky Duck,’ created by Jorge R. Gutierrez, tells the wacky tale of a punk duck and his friend Smiley Cat as they face bizarre challenges in LA.
The GenAI Creators’ Fund aims to empower creators with AI tools and financial support. It brings together filmmakers, digital artists, and tech startups to create engaging content. The initiative leverages Project Nara, Amazon MGM Studios’ AI production platform built on AWS. This tool helps creators generate video, collaborate in real-time, and streamline the filmmaking process.
Albert Cheng, Head of AI Studios at Amazon MGM Studios, emphasized the importance of combining human creativity with AI technology. Project Nara integrates AI agents with industry-standard tools like Maya and Adobe Suite to enhance production efficiency. With features like compounding intelligence and production-aware AI agents, this platform is revolutionizing cinematic workflows.
Amazon MGM Studios, through AWS, provides global cloud infrastructure and services to support Project Nara. This initiative marks a significant step towards integrating AI into entertainment production. Stay tuned for more updates on these exciting new animated series coming soon to Prime Video!
