Tom Hardy Fired from Mobland Season 3 Due to Production Clashes

Tom Hardy’s time on the hit Paramount+ crime series Mobland has reportedly come to an end. After starring as Harry Da Souza in the first two seasons alongside heavyweights like Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren, Hardy won’t be returning for season three due to reported clashes with the show’s producers.

According to Puck News, Hardy’s disagreements with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser, among others, led to his departure from the show. Allegations surfaced that Hardy was frequently late to set and had issues with the direction of the scripts, focusing more on his co-stars than himself.

While Mobland’s second season is set to premiere soon, a third season hasn’t been officially announced. However, given the show’s immense popularity, it seems highly likely to happen.

Hardy is no stranger to set disputes, famously feuding with Charlize Theron during the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road. Looking back on that experience, Hardy admitted feeling out of his depth and under immense pressure. Theron also reflected on the situation, understanding the stress Hardy must have felt stepping into Mel Gibson’s shoes for the iconic role.

Despite these on-set challenges, Mobland has been a massive success, with Paramount Global CEO Chris McCarthy praising the show’s creators and cast for their outstanding work. While Hardy’s run on Mobland may be over, fans can still catch him in the upcoming second season before the inevitable future of the show.
