Connect Disney+ to Your Hulu Profile: Hulu App Isn’t Going Away.

Disney+ recently announced a new feature that lets you link your Hulu profiles to the Disney+ app. This means that you can now bring your watch history, personalized recommendations, and Hulu watchlist to Disney+! Plus, you can seamlessly continue watching Hulu content in the Disney+ app.

While this is a significant move towards integrating Hulu into Disney+, there are currently no plans to get rid of the Hulu app. In fact, a Disney representative confirmed that there are “no current plans to sunset the Hulu app.” This aligns with an earlier statement from Disney indicating that there is no set date for discontinuing the Hulu app.

Disney acquired Hulu in 2025 and has been working towards combining the two services into one unified app. While you can access Hulu content within the Disney+ app, the backend services for both platforms are still being integrated. It’s worth noting that Hulu+ Live TV plans remain separate for now.

Subscribers with specific plans, such as a Live TV plan, a Disney+, Hulu, Max Bundle plan, or Hulu Add-ons, are currently unable to link their profiles with Disney+. Similarly, Kid Profiles on Hulu and profiles for users under 18 years of age are not eligible for linking to Disney+ at this time.
