Peacock attacks chickens on Suffolk farm, causing terror to 92-year-old farmer

A peacock caused quite a stir on Farmer Tom’s farm near Copdock when it decided to terrorize his chickens. Initially getting along with the other birds, the peacock quickly turned into a bit of a troublemaker, chasing after the cockerels and causing chaos.

Sandy Walne, Farmer Tom’s wife, shared how her husband excitedly called her to announce the surprise arrival of the peacock on their land. While the bird initially seemed friendly, it soon started causing trouble by chasing the other chickens around.

Despite the bird’s antics, Farmer Tom managed to capture the peacock and safely secure it in a pen. Sandy mentioned that the peacock seemed to think he was in charge, chasing after the cockerels and causing a bit of a ruckus.

Efforts were made to find the peacock’s owner, with a friend posting on social media, but no leads came up. Eventually, Easton Farm Park near Woodbridge agreed to take the bird in for the time being. Farmer Tom shared that the farm where the peacock was found originally was happy to see him go.

While Farmer Tom enjoyed the novelty of having a peacock on his land, he ultimately had to part ways with the bird due to its disruptive behavior. After experiencing some stress during the ordeal, the peacock was taken to Easton Farm Park, where he may find a new home if he settles in well.

It’s always interesting to see unexpected visitors on the farm, but when they cause trouble, sometimes it’s best to find them a new home. In the end, Farmer Tom’s chickens can roam peacefully once again.
