Hulu’s ‘The Testaments’: Exploring Girlhood in Gilead

Hulu’s spinoff series, “The Testaments,” based on Margaret Atwood’s novel, takes viewers back to Gilead five years after the events of “The Handmaid’s Tale.” This time, we follow the lives of privileged girls on the brink of adulthood in the oppressive society of Gilead.
