“The Handmaid’s Tale” Sequel “The Testaments” Revealed for the First Time

Hulu has given us a sneak peek at the highly-anticipated sequel series, “The Testaments,” a follow-up to “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Set to premiere on Hulu in April 2026, this new series is set in the dystopian society of Gilead, more than 15 years after the events of the original show. The story revolves around three women: Aunt Lydia (played by Ann Dowd), Agnes (played by Chase Infiniti), and Daisy (played by Lucy Halliday), whose destinies intertwine as they unravel the secrets of Gilead and the resistance against its oppressive regime.

Based on a novel by Margaret Atwood and created by Bruce Miller, “The Testaments” promises to deliver another gripping narrative that fans of the original series are sure to love. Ann Dowd will reprise her role as Aunt Lydia, with Elisabeth Moss serving as an executive producer. Joining Dowd in the cast are new members, including Chase Infiniti, Lucy Halliday, Rowan Blanchard, and Mattea Conforti.

Production for “The Testaments” kicked off in April 2025, and viewers can expect the series to hit screens in April 2026. Hulu has released some captivating first look images from the show, giving fans a taste of what’s to come.
