La La Anthony and Kim Kardashian sign new Hulu comedy deal

La La Anthony and Kim Kardashian are keeping their partnership with Hulu alive, despite their recent comedy pilot, Group Chat, not moving forward. Rather than calling it quits, the dynamic duo is already working on a new half-hour comedy for the streaming platform with the talented writer-producer Tracy Oliver.

In this upcoming series, we can expect to see a powerful crisis manager based in the Bay Area who deals with professional athletes. When her husband gets entangled in a scandal, her perfectly crafted life begins to unravel. She turns to the three women who have been her rock through thick and thin as they navigate the challenges of dating, motherhood, ambition, and starting over. La La Anthony is set to take on the lead role in this project, which will be produced through 20th Television under Kim Kardashian’s overall first-look deal.

This new comedy comes after the development of Group Chat, which took nearly two years to put together. Loosely inspired by La La Anthony’s book, The Love Playbook: Rules for Love, Sex, and Happiness, the pilot showcased the lives of six women in their forties navigating life in Los Angeles. La La Anthony starred in the pilot alongside talented actresses like Yaya DaCosta, Melanie Liburd, Rebecca Rittenhouse, and Stephanie Suganami.

The collaboration between La La Anthony and Kim Kardashian goes beyond just business—they share a deep, sister-like friendship that has lasted for over a decade.
