Amazon Launches Ultra Tier for Prime Video

Amazon is shaking things up with its streaming service by introducing a new premium tier called Prime Video Ultra that will come with a separate charge from the standard Prime membership. Starting April 10, U.S. users who are looking for an ad-free experience on Prime Video will need to opt for this new plan, priced at $4.99 per month or $45.99 per year. Don’t worry, the regular Prime membership remains unchanged at $14.99 per month or $139 annually, and will still include all the shopping perks and ad-supported streaming you love.

According to Amazon, this change is in response to the increasing costs of delivering top-notch streaming features and follows the pricing models of other popular streaming platforms. The new structure is designed to give customers more flexibility in choosing how they want to watch. So whether you prefer the standard Prime experience or want to go all in with the Prime Video Ultra tier, Amazon has something for everyone.
