Richard Gadd’s ‘Half Man’ to Debut on HBO Max in April

“Half Man,” a brand-new series created by Richard Gadd, known for his work on “Baby Reindeer,” is set to premiere on HBO Max this coming April. This six-episode series, a collaboration between HBO and the BBC, will be available for streaming on HBO Max across the United States, Latin America, and Europe, as well as on BBC iPlayer, BBC One, and BBC Scotland in the UK and Ireland.

The storyline of “Half Man” revolves around the intertwined lives of Niall and Ruben, two close friends with contrasting personalities. While one is fierce and steadfast, the other is meek and unassuming. Their connection traverses through various life events, including death and unexpected circumstances. When Ruben appears at Niall’s wedding thirty years later, things take a sharp turn. Ruben is noticeably anxious and acting out of character, leading to a violent outburst that flashes viewers back through the decades from the 1980s to the present day.
