Landman Season 2’s Bombshell Finale Ratings Revealed
The buzz around Landman just keeps getting bigger! The ratings for Season 2’s finale, which aired on Paramount+ last Sunday, have been unveiled, and they show that the Taylor Sheridan drama is more popular than ever.
According to The Wrap, the final episode of the season pulled in a whopping 14.8 million views globally in just two days, marking a 70% increase from the Season 1 finale. That’s pretty impressive!
Back in December, Paramount+ was already celebrating the show’s success by renewing it for Season 3. The Season 2 premiere, which premiered on November 16, attracted 9.2 million views in its first two days on the platform— a massive 262% jump from Season 1.
The latest data also reveals that the first nine episodes of Season 2 averaged 14.9 million views in the first week, a significant 58% increase from Season 1. Clearly, Landman is on a winning streak!
Nielsen numbers confirm the show’s popularity, with Landman ranking as the second most-streamed show for the week of December 15 to 21. Viewers streamed over 1.6 billion minutes of the 16 available episodes during that time frame, and a total of 6.2 billion minutes in December alone— that’s a whole lot of Landman!
Created by Taylor Sheridan and Christian Wallace, Landman follows the journey of landman Tommy Norris (played by Billy Bob Thornton) as he navigates the oil industry in Texas with his family. The Season 2 finale saw Tommy being fired and starting his own company with the help of some interesting characters.
With Season 3 on the horizon, Landman is definitely one to watch. Keep an eye out for more updates and the show’s return on Paramount+!
