JonBenet Ramsey’s Father Threatens Legal Action Against Paramount+ Over New Series

JonBenét Ramsey’s dad is speaking out against an upcoming Paramount+ docuseries about his daughter’s tragic murder. In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, John Ramsey mentioned that he would not hesitate to take legal action if his son, Burke Ramsey, is portrayed negatively in the series.

Ramsey made it clear that he believes the theory of Burke being involved in JonBenét’s death is false, calling the accusations against his son “horrible.” He referenced a previous CBS documentary that suggested Burke, at just 9 years old, may have been responsible for his sister’s passing.

John Ramsey emphasized the impact that these false accusations had on Burke and the family, stating that no amount of settlement could erase the damage caused. The Ramsey family previously sued CBS for $750 million over similar claims.

Paramount has reportedly completed a limited series titled “Unspeakable: The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey,” starring Clive Davis as John Ramsey and Melissa McCarthy as JonBenét’s mother, Patsy. Concerns about legal consequences have reportedly made Paramount hesitant about the release of the series.

The tragic murder of JonBenét Ramsey in 1996 continues to be a highly discussed topic. After years of suspicion towards the Ramsey family, DNA evidence in 2008 cleared them, including Burke, of any involvement in the crime.
