“Freakier Friday” Set to Stream on Disney+

Fans of the heartwarming 2003 film “Freaky Friday” can now look forward to a cozy movie night at home because its sequel, “Freakier Friday,” is coming to Disney+ on November 12th. Set to deliver a fresh twist on the original story, the sequel reunites Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan in a heartwarming multigenerational tale where Anna, played by Lohan, switches bodies with her daughter.

Returning for the sequel are original cast members Chad Michael Murray, Mark Harmon, Christina Vidal Mitchell, and more, alongside newcomers like Manny Jacinto, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, and more. The film, directed by Nisha Ganatra and co-written by “Dollface” creator Jordan Weiss, boasts a $42 million production budget and kicked off with a strong $29 million opening weekend at the box office.

Critics and fans alike have embraced the film, with Variety’s film critic Owen Gleiberman praising it as “touching.” So mark your calendars for November 12th and get ready for a heartwarming family movie night with “Freakier Friday” on Disney+!
