HBO Teases ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,’ Premiering January 18
HBO just dropped a teaser for its new half-hour drama series, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” at a New York Comic Con panel. This six-episode season is set to premiere on Jan. 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will also be streamable on HBO Max. The show follows the adventures of Ser Duncan the Tall, a brave but inexperienced knight, and his squire, Egg, in a time when the Targaryen lineage is in power and dragons are still a vivid memory. It’s a tale of unlikely friendships, great destinies, and formidable foes, all against the backdrop of Westeros a century before the events of “Game of Thrones”.
Starring in the series are Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall, Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, with many more talented actors rounding out the cast. Behind the scenes, the show is co-created and executive produced by George R. R. Martin, with Ira Parker as co-creator, showrunner, and executive producer. The production boasts a team of executive producers, including Sarah Bradshaw, Owen Harris, Ryan Condal, and Vince Gerardis, with Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith directing.
