A Complete Guide to HBO’s A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

Are the Targaryens starting to wear you out? Well, there’s more coming your way! HBO is working on another Game of Thrones sequel, and technically, it’s a follow-up to House of the Dragon called A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. But what’s it all about?

In this upcoming show, set a century before “Game of Thrones,” two unlikely heroes, Ser Duncan the Tall, a brave but inexperienced knight, and his small squire, Egg, embark on adventures in Westeros. This takes place during a time when the Targaryen family still rules the Iron Throne, and the memory of dragons is still fresh in everyone’s minds. Get ready for destinies, foes, and daring escapades as these two friends navigate their way through this world.

The cast includes Peter Claffey as Dunk and Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, portraying the main characters. Based on George R. R. Martin’s fantasy novellas, Tales of Dunk and Egg, the show also features Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen.

In terms of direction, Owen Harris will handle three episodes, while Sarah Adina Smith will take charge of the other three. Although there isn’t a trailer out yet for A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, you can catch a glimpse of the show in this HBO Max sizzle reel.
