HBO Drama Series A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Premieres January 18
HBO’s new original drama series, A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS, debuted its official teaser at New York Comic Con. This heartwarming story from the world of Westeros follows the adventures of an unexpected pair. The six-episode season kicks off on SUNDAY, JANUARY 18 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will also be available for streaming on HBO Max, with new episodes airing on subsequent Sundays.
Set a century before the events of “Game of Thrones,” the show revolves around two unlikely heroes adventuring in Westeros. Ser Duncan the Tall, a young, brave but inexperienced knight, and his small squire, Egg, take center stage. In an era where the Targaryen dynasty sits on the Iron Throne and the last dragon is still remembered by the living, our heroes face great destinies, formidable enemies, and thrilling escapades.
The cast includes Peter Claffey as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall, Dexter Sol Ansell as Egg, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Danny Webb as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas as Raymun Fossoway, Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Edward Ashley as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Henry Ashton as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour as Steely Pate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor as Plummer, and Daniel Monks as Ser Manfred Dondarrion.
The masterminds behind the scenes include Co-Creator/Executive Producer George R. R. Martin and Co-Creator/Showrunner/Executive Producer Ira Parker. Executive Producers Sarah Bradshaw, Owen Harris, Ryan Condal, and Vince Gerardis round out the team, with Owen Harris and Sarah Adina Smith directing the series.
