Alien: Earth Trailer on Disney+
Disney+ has just dropped the official trailer for FX’s “Alien: Earth,” the highly-anticipated sci-fi drama series produced by Emmy®-Award winner Noah Hawley. Set to premiere on Wednesday, August 13, the show will kick off with the first two episodes available for streaming at 10:00am AEST in Australia, with subsequent episodes airing every Wednesday on Disney+ starting at the same time.
“Alien: Earth” follows the story of the USCSS Maginot, a deep space research vessel that crash-lands on Earth. The series introduces us to “Wendy” (played by Sydney Chandler) and a group of tactical soldiers who stumble upon a life-threatening discovery that exposes them to the planet’s greatest danger. Set in the year 2120, the Earth depicted in the show is run by five powerful corporations: Prodigy, Weyland-Yutani, Lynch, Dynamic, and Threshold. In this corporate-dominated era, cyborgs and synthetics coexist with humans, blurring the lines between biological and artificial beings.
However, everything changes when the CEO of Prodigy Corporation unveils a groundbreaking development: hybrids, which are humanoid robots embedded with human consciousness. The series explores the repercussions of this technological leap and the unforeseen encounters that unfold when these hybrids come face to face with unfathomable life forms after a catastrophic event involving Weyland-Yutani’s spaceship.
The show boasts a diverse international cast led by Sydney Chandler, with notable actors like Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, and others playing pivotal roles in this gripping narrative. Keep an eye out for “Alien: Earth” on Disney+ for an exhilarating and immersive sci-fi experience that promises to delve deep into the realms of futuristic technology and human-robot interactions.
