Underrated Disney+ Show Marvel Fans Shouldn’t Miss: Season 2 Update
Marvel fans, get ready for some disappointing news about one of the most underrated Disney+ shows. Hawkeye, which brought us the dynamic duo of Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld, may not be getting a second season after all. Showrunner Andrew Guest shared with The Direct that while they explored creative ideas for a second season, the timing just didn’t work out with Marvel and all the moving parts involved. It’s a bummer for fans who were hoping to see more of Clint Barton and Kate Bishop in action.
Renner himself has mentioned that they are trying to make Season 2 happen, but the timing might not align for at least a few years. With new Marvel shows like Wonder Man and VisionQuest on the horizon, along with the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is gearing up for some major changes. Avengers: Doomsday is set to shake things up, possibly leading to a reboot of the entire MCU with a focus on new characters like the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and the Champions. This means that any new content in 2027 will have to adapt to these changes.
So, what does this mean for Hawkeye Season 2? It might have to wait until after Avengers: Secret Wars in 2027, where the focus could shift to Kate Bishop rather than Clint Barton. It’s a lot to take in, but Marvel always keeps us on our toes with their storytelling.
