Apple TV+ Experiencing Technical Difficulties as Thousands Report Streaming Issues
On Tuesday, many Apple TV+ users ran into trouble while trying to stream their favorite shows. They were greeted with an “unable to play” message, which left them frustrated. According to Downdetector, thousands of users reported these streaming issues. The Apple System Status website confirmed the problem began around 3:48 p.m., indicating that some users might encounter intermittent issues with the service. Additionally, some users may have had trouble accessing various services or making purchases.
The good news is that by Tuesday evening, the number of reported outages had decreased to just a couple of hundred users. Apple’s system status website stated that the issue was resolved by 11:04 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, Apple has not provided any information on what caused this glitch that affected so many users.
People took to X to voice their frustrations. One user expressed the hope for a credit on their bill, while another described how Apple+ crashed while they were watching “Ghosted” with their dad, leaving them unable to stream anything.
