Frankie Muniz reunites with Bryan Cranston in ‘Malcolm in the Middle’ reboot teaser
Remember the good old days of Malcolm in the Middle? Bryan Cranston, known to many now as the infamous Walter White from Breaking Bad, was just Hal, the dad to four rambunctious boys on the beloved sitcom. And who can forget Frankie Muniz as Malcolm, the lovable protagonist of the show? Well, get your nostalgia goggles ready because they, along with the rest of the cast, are reuniting for a brand-new reboot, and the teaser trailer has us all in our feelings.
In this teaser released on YouTube, it’s been a whopping 19 years since we last saw these characters on our screens. Malcolm gives us a glimpse into his life now, joking that things are “fantastic” as long as he stays away from his quirky family. Of course, we all know that won’t last long. The trailer is full of laughs, a heartfelt moment between Hal and Lois, and that classic brotherly love that we can’t wait to see more of in the upcoming series this spring.
The limited series, titled Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, will premiere on Hulu on April 10. Along with Cranston and Muniz, Jane Kaczmarek will be back as Lois, Chris Kennedy Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama.
It’s heartwarming to know that despite nearly two decades passing since the original series ended, the cast has remained close. Cranston even shared in an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2024 that he still sees the actors who played his on-screen sons as his real kids. Muniz echoed those sentiments in another interview later the same year, praising Cranston as an incredible person.
Are you as excited as we are for the Malcolm in the Middle reunion? Set your calendars for April 10 to catch up with the Wilkerson family and all their wacky adventures!
