Percy Jackson Season 2 Trailer Teases Massive Action and Key Newcomers

Percy Jackson is back for another season of thrilling adventures, and this time he’s got some new friends on board. The Season 2 teaser for the Disney+ series “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” was unveiled at a Comic-Con panel, giving fans a taste of the action-packed journey ahead.

Set to premiere on Disney+ on December 10, Season 2 follows Percy (played by Walker Scobell) as he sets out on a mission to the Sea of Monsters to rescue his kidnapped best friend Grover (Aryan Simhadri) and retrieve the Golden Fleece to save Camp Half-Blood from the clutches of the villainous Luke (Charlie Bushnell) and Titan Kronos (Nick Boraine).

Joining Percy on his quest are familiar faces like Annabeth (Leah Sava Jeffries) and Clarisse (Dior Goodjohn), as well as his half-brother Tyson (Daniel Diemer). And fans can look forward to meeting new characters in Season 3, including Nico di Angelo and his sister Bianca, played by Levi Chrisopulos and Olive Abercrombie, respectively.

Executive producer Jon Steinberg teased that Season 2 will be full of fantasy and magic, with no shortage of adventure. The cast and crew worked on some massive sequences, including a chariot race track built for one of the biggest scenes ever shot on the series.

The actors shared some insights into their characters’ journeys in the new season. Grover faces new challenges as he learns to rely on himself, while Annabeth opens up in a way we haven’t seen before. Clarisse’s character gets a deeper exploration, shedding light on the experiences that shaped her into who she is.

Newcomer Daniel Diemer had a blast playing the lovable cyclops Tyson, bringing a mix of power and innocence to the role. And the cast members bonded over memorable scenes, like reenacting the iconic “Titanic” moment on set.

Despite the long break between seasons, the actors grew both on and off-screen. And for Scobell, balancing school and filming battle scenes was a unique experience that required some mental gymnastics.

With Season 2 promising even more action and heart-pounding moments, fans can expect an epic journey with Percy Jackson and his friends. Get ready to dive into a world of magic, monsters, and mythological mayhem this December on Disney+.
