Disney Plus Confirms Return of Popular Marvel Series

Disney+ has some exciting news for Marvel fans – Spidey and His Amazing Friends is coming back for Season 5, and the premiere is right around the corner. This animated Spider-Man series has become Disney+’s most popular Marvel show ever, surpassing both live-action and animated titles in terms of viewership. Fans can expect a new story arc titled “Rescue-Webs,” featuring Spidey, Ghost-Spider, and Miles Morales. The premiere is set for July 14 on Disney+, but catch it a day earlier on Disney Jr. and Disney Channel on July 13. Disney has confirmed the premiere date more than once, so mark your calendars!

In addition to Spidey, other big hits on Disney+ are keeping subscribers intrigued. Bluey, a beloved kids’ show, is officially in development for Season 4 with no release date announced yet. Fans can enjoy new Bluey Compilations on the service, and a Bluey theatrical film is in the works for 2027.

The Mandalorian, another billion-streamed-minutes show, is in a tricky spot after a scrapped fourth season and an underperforming feature film. While a revival seems unlikely, fans might see Din Djarin and Grogu in a future Star Wars project. Meanwhile, Hulu’s It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia has finished Season 18 production with no premiere date, and The Simpsons continues its journey with Season 38 in the pipeline along with a planned sequel to The Simpsons Movie in 2027.

Looking ahead, ABC’s The Rookie is expected to return with new episodes in early 2027, and Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale universe is expanding with a second season of The Testaments likely arriving in 2027. As fans await these developments, don’t forget to catch Spidey and His Amazing Friends on Disney+ starting July 14 for a new season of web-slinging adventures!
