Netflix Appoints Ana María Londoño as Head of Content, Colombia

Netflix has chosen Ana María Londoño to lead content in Colombia, marking a significant moment in her impressive 30-year career, which includes hits like “Juegos Prohibidos” and “Rojo Carmesí.” Londoño’s role will focus on nurturing local talent, telling stories with global appeal, and solidifying Netflix’s partnership with Colombia’s audiovisual community.

According to Francisco Ramos, Netflix VP of Content for Latin America, Londoño’s expertise and strategic vision will help advance creativity in Colombia and showcase the country’s remarkable talent to a global audience.

This appointment comes at a pivotal time for Netflix in Colombia, with exciting productions on the horizon like “One Hundred Years of Solitude: Part 2,” “Medusa” Season 2, “Palacio,” “En diciembre llegaban las brisas,” and “Cómo perderlo todo.” These upcoming shows demonstrate Netflix’s commitment to engaging viewers in Colombia and beyond in increasingly diverse markets.

Netflix’s presence at the Bogota Audiovisual Market (BAM) highlights the company’s dedication to Colombia, where it is actively investing in local language productions. While Mexico was the first country where Netflix delved into local content with “Club of Crows,” Colombia plays a vital role in the company’s global content strategy.
