Disney Renews Dragon Striker for Season 2

Disney has some exciting news for fans of the animated sports fantasy series, Dragon Striker! The studio has officially renewed the show for a second season, scheduled to premiere in early 2027 on Disney XD and Disney+. Last week at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, attendees got a sneak peek at what’s to come in the upcoming 11-episode season.

In season two, viewers can expect the Knights to face new challenges as fractured friendships, hidden secrets, and an ancient evil threaten their journey to the Banner’s Helm final. The stakes are higher than ever as they risk everything in their quest for victory.

The show features a talented voice cast including Akshay Kumar as Key, Rebecca LaChance as Ssyelle, Yeukayi Ushe as Milo, Waylon Jacobs as Odward, and Evanna Lynch as Ameline. The series’ composer, Kevin Penkin, known for his work on Made in Abyss and Star Wars: Visions, recorded the score in Japan with an 80-piece orchestra. The theme song, “Power of the Dragon,” was written and produced by Cash Callaway and performed by Sarah West, while the end credits song, “The Very End,” was written and performed by Kieran Rhodes.

Dragon Striker is a production of Disney Kids & Family in association with La Chouette Compagnie and Disney Television Animation. The show’s lead creative team includes Sylvain Dos Santos as co-creator and executive producer, Charles Lefebvre as co-creator and director, and Paul McKeown as head writer.

If you can’t wait for the new season, all episodes of the first season are currently available for streaming on Disney+ and Hulu. Keep an eye out for more updates on Dragon Striker as we get closer to the season two premiere in 2027!
