Disney+ Signs Deal to Stream LaLiga Soccer Live in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland
Disney+ has exciting news for soccer fans in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland! The streaming service has just announced a four-year deal with LaLiga, Spain’s professional soccer league, to live-stream 380 matches starting in the 2026-27 season. This is part of Disney’s expansion of its streaming platform worldwide, including Hulu and ESPN Unlimited, which currently streams LaLiga in the United States.
Fans in Sweden and Denmark can also catch other soccer leagues like the UEFA Europa League, Champions League, and UEFA Conference League on Disney+. In Norway, TV2 will continue to be the home of LaLiga, extending a partnership that started in the 2021-22 season.
Karl Holmes, the GM of Disney+ EMEA, shared his excitement about the new deal, saying, “LaLiga is one of the true jewels of the soccer calendar and consistently creates the kind of drama and excitement fans want to be part of week after week. We’re looking forward to bringing those experiences to Disney+ customers in [the Nordics], so fans can enjoy even more live soccer, unforgettable rivalries, and the stories that keep audiences coming back throughout the season.”
It’s a great time to be a soccer fan with Disney+!
