‘Persona’ TV Show Adaptation Coming to Netflix, Produced by 21 Laps & Story Kitchen

Netflix is working on creating a live-action series based on the popular “Persona” video game franchise, according to sources. Christopher Monfette will write the adaptation and serve as executive producer and showrunner, with Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, and Robert Atwood of 21 Laps, along with Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg, and Timothy I. Stevenson from Story Kitchen also executive producing. Toru Nakahara from SEGA will also executive produce. Emily Feher is overseeing the project for 21 Laps as part of their overall TV deal with Netflix.

The “Persona” franchise, known for its RPG games, follows Japanese high school students navigating daily life while also dealing with supernatural threats. Developed by P-Studios, a division of Atlus, and published by Sega, the franchise has seen six main entries with a confirmed seventh game, “Persona 6,” in the works as of June 2026. Additionally, there are 15 spinoff titles related to the franchise.

Netflix has not provided any comments on the series as of now.
