Alicia Vikander Cast in ‘Enigma Variations’ Netflix Series Opposite Aaron Taylor-Johnson

Alicia Vikander is teaming up with Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the upcoming Netflix series “Enigma Variations,” according to Variety. The series, based on a novel by André Aciman, follows the journey of Paul as he navigates transformative experiences over ten years of love and loss. It promises to be a deep dive into masculinity, sexuality, and modern relationships, asking the question of whether we can truly recognize when we’ve found ‘the one.’

Vikander will take on the role of Claire, Paul’s love interest and eventual wife from the original novel. Known for her award-winning performance in “The Danish Girl” and roles in “Ex Machina,” “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” and others, Vikander brings a wealth of talent and experience to the project.

Amanda Kate Shuman will be leading the writing and serving as the showrunner, with Oliver Hermanus directing and executive producing. The series is set to be a collaboration with Media Res, led by Michael Ellenberg, Christina Malach, and Li, promising a stellar team behind the scenes to bring this intriguing story to life.
