OmegaMart in Area15 Showcased in Popular Animated Series Neon Vegas

If you’re a fan of “The Simpsons,” get ready for a special treat! Meow Wolf, known for its surrealist OmegaMart at Area15, has teamed up with the iconic animated series for an extended opening sequence in “Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition.” This double-episode originally aired on June 17 and is now available for streaming on Disney+.

The sequence kicks off with Marge and Maggie in an unmarked grocery store, with a bottle of Omega Cola causing mayhem. Marge then takes a fantastical journey through Meow Wolf and OmegaMart images, with nods to the late co-founder, Matt King. The scene transitions to a real-world art installation themed around the show’s classic couch scene, complete with artwork by artists dressed as Otto the bus driver.

Don’t even think about hitting “skip intro” during this sequence, or Bart’s chalkboard punishment will remind you otherwise! Meow Wolf co-founder Emily Montoya expressed excitement about the collaboration, calling it a huge honor and a mind-bending experience. Showrunner and Executive Producer Matt Selman, who’s also a fan of Meow Wolf, praised the company’s creativity and embraced their wacky ideas for the show.

The episode features special guest stars Betty Gilpin, musical guests Laufey and Tegan and Sara, and marks the first of three new episodes streaming on Disney+ this summer. This collab between “The Simpsons” and Meow Wolf showcases the creativity and DIY roots of the art collective, bringing together two beloved creative worlds.

So, be sure to tune in to this unique crossover episode and immerse yourself in the imaginative world of “The Simpsons” and Meow Wolf’s OmegaMart. It’s a quirky, colorful, and fun-filled experience that captures the essence of both iconic brands. Happy streaming!
