King of the Hill Season 15 Impresses Annecy Festival with Award Acceptance

Fans of the classic show “King of the Hill” are in for a treat with Season 15 premiering on Hulu on July 20. But lucky attendees at the 2026 Annecy Animation Festival got a sneak peek at an episode from the upcoming season. The show’s co-creator, Mike Judge, was there to introduce the episode and receive an Honorary Crystal Award for his contributions to animation.

The episode screened at Annecy follows Hank Hill, voiced by Mike Judge, as he encounters a mysterious electric truck parked outside his house. As a die-hard fan of traditional combustion engines and American machinery, Hank’s world gets turned upside down by the appearance of this high-tech vehicle.

In addition to the episode screening, audiences also got to see a trailer for Season 15, which promises exciting storylines. Bobby will be exploring new opportunities at his restaurant job and kindling a new romance with Connie, while Peggy dives headfirst into a competitive new hobby.

During the festival, Mike Judge was presented with an Honorary Crystal Award by Chris Prynoski, the co-founder of Titmouse Inc. In his acceptance speech, Judge shared his lifelong passion for animation, starting from a young age when he first became fascinated by the movement of characters in shows like “Gumby.”

The event was a hit with fans and attendees alike, showcasing the enduring popularity of “King of the Hill” and the talent behind the show. With Season 15 just around the corner, fans have a lot to look forward to as they dive back into the world of Hank, Bobby, Peggy, and the rest of the beloved characters in Arlen, Texas.
