Devil Wears Prada 2: Disney+ Release Date Announced
Disney’s 20th Century Studios has announced that The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be hitting streaming platforms on July 29th, bringing back beloved cast members like Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci.
For fans who missed it in theaters, the film will also be available to purchase or rent on digital platforms such as Prime Video and Apple TV starting on June 28th. Additionally, a 4k Ultra HD and Blu-ray release is scheduled for June 28th, with a DVD-digital bundle including the original movie and the sequel set to launch on June 30th.
With a box office success of $682.1 million against a $100 million budget, The Devil Wears Prada 2 has been well-received by both fans and critics alike. Our own review at Radio Times awarded the film 4 stars, with critic James Mottram calling it “bigger and bolder” than the original, offering a truly enjoyable reunion with familiar characters.
The sequel revisits Andy Sachs (Hathaway) two decades after the first movie, as she returns to Runway where Miranda Priestly is adapting to a new media landscape and facing off against her former assistant, Emily, who now runs a luxury brand that Priestley needs to work with. In addition to the familiar faces, new characters played by Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, and Simone Ashley will also be introduced.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 is set to premiere on Disney+ and Hulu on July 29th, so mark your calendars and get ready for this highly anticipated sequel.
