Michael Uppendahl to Direct ‘Bishop’ Pilot Episode for Prime Video
Michael Uppendahl has been tapped to direct the pilot episode of Prime Video’s exciting new thriller drama, “Bishop.” This series, created by Little Marvin and Tony Saltzman, promises to be a gripping watch for fans of crime dramas.
The show follows homicide detective Bishop Graves (played by Joel Kinnaman), a brilliant and battle-scarred investigator, as he delves into the dangerous hunt for a killer targeting San Francisco’s wealthy elite. As the killer garners a following among the city’s vulnerable population, Bishop begins to suspect a connection to the most powerful man in San Francisco – his father, Lincoln Graves (portrayed by John Malkovich).
Alongside Kinnaman and Malkovich, the cast includes stellar actors such as Jennifer Jason Leigh, Jordana Brewster, Harry Treadaway, and Xavier Samuel in various roles. The series promises a mix of suspense, intrigue, and complex family dynamics that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
Little Marvin will serve as the showrunner for “Bishop,” which he, Saltzman, Roy Lee, and Miri Yoon will also executive produce. The show is part of Little Marvin’s deal with Amazon MGM Studios, and Felicia Fasano is handling the casting.
